MCP servers for marketing

MCP servers for marketing: the 15 most recommended, checked against their makers' docs.

An MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI apps read data from a marketing tool and, with some servers, change things in it. We read 27 lists of the best MCP servers for marketing published in 2026, counted the servers they name, and checked the 15 most named against each maker's own docs on October 7, 2026: what your AI can do with each one, what it can change, how it connects and what it costs.

Quick picks by job

  • CRM: HubSpot's MCP server, or Salesforce's hosted servers on Enterprise Edition and above.
  • Web analytics: Google's Google Analytics MCP server, which is read-only and runs on your computer.
  • Paid social: Meta's Ads MCP server, which can also create and launch ads, and TikTok's for TikTok ads. LinkedIn has only community servers.
  • Search ads: Google's Google Ads MCP server and Microsoft Advertising's, both read-only.
  • SEO: Ahrefs or Semrush on a plan with API units, DataForSEO to pay per call, and mcp-gsc for your own Search Console data.
  • Email: Klaviyo for ecommerce campaigns and flows, and Mailchimp's app for planning drafts.
  • Store and revenue: Shopify's connector for Claude or plugin for ChatGPT, and Stripe's MCP server.
  • Many sources in one: Supermetrics, Windsor.ai, Funnel or Coupler.io.
  • Actions across apps: Zapier or Make.
  • Design and social posts: Canva, Figma and Buffer.

The 15 servers at a glance

The servers are ordered by how many of the 27 lists name the product, from HubSpot on 23 to Stripe on five (see how we chose). Where lists name several servers for one product, the table gives the maker's own server, or the most used community one when the maker has none. Costs are what each maker published on October 7, 2026.

Of the other Meta Ads servers that lists name, the most named is Pipeboard's Meta Ads MCP, on five lists. It's a community server with a free tier of 30 tool calls a week on 2 ad accounts and paid plans from $29.90 a month. Shopify's Dev MCP and Storefront MCP, which some lists name, are for developers: one searches Shopify's docs and checks code, and the other powers shopping agents on a storefront.

How each one connects, and what it can change

A remote server is a web address that your AI app connects to, so it works in Claude and ChatGPT on the web and on phones. A local server runs on your own computer, so it works only in desktop apps and coding tools, and needs Python or Node plus your own API credentials.

ServerRunsSign-inCan it change things?
HubSpotRemoteOAuth. A Super Admin, or a user with App Marketplace permissions, sets it up firstYes: CRM records, segments, campaigns and email drafts, and it can publish pages and blog posts. It asks before creating or updating CRM records, and HubSpot documents no tool that sends marketing email or deletes records
Google AnalyticsLocal, with PythonGoogle Cloud credentials with read-only Analytics access, in a Cloud project with the Analytics APIs turned onNo, read-only
Meta AdsRemoteFacebook Login for BusinessYes. New ads start paused, and activating them spends budget. It can also delete custom audiences and catalog items
AhrefsRemote. Ahrefs archived its local serverOAuth, which creates an API key for MCPMostly reports. Ahrefs doesn't call it read-only, and a management group covers projects, keyword lists and Brand Radar settings
Google AdsLocal, with Python, or self-hostedYour own Google Cloud credentials. Developer tokens are no longer needed since September 9, 2026No. Google calls it strictly read-only: it can't change bids, pause campaigns or create assets
ZapierRemoteOAuth, or a connection tokenYes, whatever the actions you enable do
SemrushRemoteOAuth, or an API keyNo, read-only
SalesforceRemote, hosted by SalesforceOAuth per user, after an admin registers the appYou choose: a read-only server, one that creates and updates, one that deletes, or one with full access. Marketing Cloud Engagement labels each tool read-only, standard or destructive
Google Search ConsoleLocal, with PythonYour own Google OAuth client, or a service account added to the propertyMostly reads. It can submit sitemaps, and adding or deleting sites and deleting sitemaps stay off unless you turn them on
KlaviyoRemote, or local with PythonOAuth (remote) or a private API key (local)Yes, including sending campaigns and deleting flows. A read-only mode works on a custom connector or the local server, not on the listed Claude and ChatGPT apps
ShopifyRemote, installed from Claude or ChatGPTYou approve read-only, or read and write, access in Shopify adminYes, with write access, one item at a time. It can't refund or cancel orders, edit the live theme or change store settings
FigmaRemote, or through the Figma desktop appOAuth with FigmaYes, with a Full seat. Writing to the canvas is free during its beta and will later be paid by usage
LinkedIn AdsLocal, with NodeOAuth through your own LinkedIn developer app with Advertising API accessYes, including deleting campaign groups and campaigns
MailchimpRemote, installed from Claude or ChatGPT. Mailchimp's pages differ on countries: the US only, or also Canada, the UK and AustraliaYour Mailchimp login, usually as an Owner or AdminSaves campaign plans and drafts. Mailchimp's help doesn't mention sending
StripeRemote, or local with NodeOAuth, or agent API keys. From October 31, 2026, it no longer accepts full-access secret keysYes. It asks for confirmation before refunds and outbound payments

Only Google Analytics, Google Ads and Semrush are read-only. Ahrefs doesn't say, and the other 11 can change something, from a sitemap or an email draft to a live ad. Salesforce and Shopify let you choose read-only access. Four of the 15 run only on your own computer: Google's Analytics and Ads servers, mcp-gsc and linkedin-ads-mcp. They need more setup than pasting a web address.

Servers fewer lists name yet

These servers are official, from each product's maker, and appear on fewer than five of the lists, often because they launched after most lists were written or because the lists skip their category.

  • TikTok for Business MCP server. A remote server whose full set of about 400 tools creates campaigns, updates targeting, pauses ad groups and adjusts budgets. A second address starts with about 40 core tools. Three lists name it.
  • Amazon Ads MCP Server. In open beta since February 2, 2026 for Amazon Ads partners with API credentials. It creates, updates and deletes campaigns and runs reports. Three lists name it.
  • Microsoft Advertising MCP server. A read-only open pilot for campaign, keyword and performance data. It's free to connect but needs your own Microsoft Entra app registration, which usually takes IT. No list names it yet.
  • Mixpanel, Amplitude and PostHog. Remote servers for product analytics. All three can also create or edit dashboards, charts, cohorts or feature flags, and PostHog's read-only mode is something you turn on.
  • Triple Whale, Polar Analytics and Northbeam. Ecommerce attribution servers. Triple Whale's and Northbeam's are read-only, and Polar's writes only custom metrics, dimensions and labels inside Polar. Triple Whale includes it on its Foundation, Automate and Enterprise plans, Northbeam's pages differ on which plans include it, and Polar publishes no prices. No list names them.
  • Supermetrics, Windsor.ai, Funnel, Coupler.io and Improvado. Marketing data from many sources through one server. Funnel's is read-only on every Funnel plan, and Coupler.io's queries are read-only, with AI access on its Free plan. Windsor.ai has a free plan with one data source and can pause, enable or create campaigns on supported ad platforms. Supermetrics' campaign tools, in early access, create and pause campaigns. Improvado's free tier allows 50 MCP actions a week.
  • DataForSEO and Similarweb. DataForSEO charges per call, from $0.002, with a $1 free credit. Similarweb's read-only server needs its API, Business or Enterprise plan.
  • Canva. Works on every Canva account, including Free, to create, edit and export designs. Some actions, such as brand templates, need a paid plan, and AI actions may use your Canva AI credits.
  • Buffer and Hootsuite. Buffer's server creates, edits and deletes posts and reads post metrics on every plan, including Free. Hootsuite runs four servers, for publishing, inbox, listening and employee advocacy.
  • Webflow and WordPress.com. Edit pages, CMS items and posts from chat. WordPress.com's server needs a paid plan and asks before it writes or deletes anything.

How to add an MCP server to your AI app

  • Claude (web, desktop and mobile): open Customize → Connectors, choose + Add, then Add custom connector. Enter a name and the server's address, choose Continue, then Add, and sign in. Custom connectors work on every Claude plan, with one on Free. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it first under Organization settings → Connectors. HubSpot, Stripe, Klaviyo and Canva are among the makers whose servers are also in Claude's connector directory.
  • ChatGPT: install a maker's published app or plugin, such as HubSpot's, Stripe's or Canva's, from ChatGPT's directory. For any other remote server, turn on developer mode under Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and create an app with the server's address. OpenAI's help center says full MCP, with write actions, is on Business, Enterprise and Edu, where an admin turns it on, and that Pro connects with read and fetch permissions.
  • Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http <name> <address>, then /mcp to sign in.
  • Cursor and VS Code: add the address as a remote MCP server in the MCP settings.
  • Local servers, such as Google's Analytics and Ads servers, mcp-gsc and linkedin-ads-mcp: add the start command from the server's guide to Claude Desktop's config file, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or Gemini CLI. They don't run in Claude or ChatGPT on the web or on phones.

Before you connect: six checks

  1. Who maintains it. Official servers come from the product's maker. Community servers, such as mcp-gsc and linkedin-ads-mcp, depend on their developers. Some 2026 lists still recommend servers whose code was archived in 2025, such as the original Google Drive reference server.
  2. What it can change. Start read-only where you can: Salesforce's read-only server, Shopify's read-only access, PostHog's read-only mode or Klaviyo's read-only option. In Claude, set each connector's tools to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked. ChatGPT asks before write actions by default and treats tools not marked read-only as writes.
  3. How it signs in. OAuth lets you sign in without copying a key and revoke access later. API keys sit in a settings file, so use restricted keys where the maker offers them. Stripe stops accepting full-access secret keys on October 31, 2026.
  4. Where it runs. Remote servers work wherever your AI app does. Local servers need a desktop app or coding tool, and often your own Google Cloud project or developer app.
  5. What it costs. Most servers are free to connect, but the data behind them may be metered: Ahrefs and Semrush in API units, Zapier in tasks and DataForSEO per call.
  6. Who can set it up. Many need an admin: a HubSpot Super Admin, a Klaviyo Owner, Admin or Manager, a Salesforce admin, a Mailchimp Owner or Admin, or an Owner on Claude Team and Enterprise.

Watch what the AI reads, too. Servers that bring in web pages, emails or support conversations can carry instructions written by someone else, a risk called prompt injection, so keep write tools on approval in those chats. OpenAI's developer docs warn about prompt injection, mistaken write actions and malicious servers.

Where OneLence fits

OneLence helps marketing teams find growth opportunities, know what to do next, and grow more efficiently without simply spending more. Its MCP server brings that into Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps, with your own tracking across your website, ads, search, AI assistants and affiliate partners, instead of one server per tool.

  • What you can ask. What to focus on today, which channels, campaigns and affiliate partners to scale, hold or stop and how sure OneLence is, how each source performs through the funnel, which AI assistants read your site and send visitors, and, in beta, which search pages to improve first.
  • What it changes. It has 35 tools, and 27 of them only read. The other 8 change things inside OneLence, such as recording a change you made or defining a conversion event, and each shows you a summary and waits for your confirmation. OneLence never touches your ad accounts and never moves money.
  • How it connects. A remote server at https://mcp.onelence.com with OAuth sign-in, listed in the official MCP Registry as com.onelence/onelence, with guides for Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code, Cursor and Codex.
  • Plans. It works on every OneLence plan and in the 7-day free trial. AI visibility, bot traffic and SEO opportunities need the Premium or Scale plan.

How we chose the servers

OneLence publishes this page and runs its own MCP server for marketing, so we left OneLence out of the count and the two comparison tables, and described it in its own section. To pick the servers, we read 30 lists: the 21 pages that AI answer engines cited on October 5, 2026 when asked for the best MCP servers for marketing, and 9 more lists from 2026 that we found in web search. We could read 27 of them. Together they recommend 221 different servers, and 166 of those appear on only one list.

We counted the lists that name each product, whichever server they meant, and the tables cover every marketing product named on at least five lists. We left out general team tools that lists also name often: Notion (14 lists), Slack (12) and Linear (5). Of the 27 lists, 19 come from companies that include their own product, and 10 of those rank it first.

Facts come from each maker's own docs, repository, help center or pricing page, read on October 7, 2026. We didn't test the servers hands-on, and makers change them often, so follow the links for current details.

Frequently asked questions

What is an MCP server for marketing?

A connector that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT use a marketing tool: read its data and, with some servers, change things in it. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard behind these connectors. Claude calls them connectors, and ChatGPT calls them apps or plugins.

What are the best MCP servers for marketing?

The ones for the tools you already use. Across the 27 lists of 2026 we read, the most named are HubSpot (23 lists), Google Analytics (19), Meta Ads (15), Ahrefs (14), Google Ads (12), Zapier (10) and Semrush (8). To reach many marketing sources through one server, look at Supermetrics, Windsor.ai, Funnel or Coupler.io.

Is there an official Google Analytics MCP server?

Yes. Google's Google Analytics MCP server runs GA4 reports, funnel reports and realtime reports and reads property settings. It is read-only, labeled experimental, and runs on your own computer with Python and Google Cloud credentials, so it works in tools such as Claude Code and Gemini CLI rather than in Claude or ChatGPT on the web.

Is there an official Meta Ads MCP server?

Yes. Meta's Ads MCP server reports on campaigns and can create, edit and activate campaigns, ad sets and ads. New ads start paused, and activating them spends budget. Meta's developer docs give no price or launch stage. Pipeboard's Meta Ads MCP is a community alternative with a free tier of 30 tool calls a week on 2 ad accounts.

Can Claude or ChatGPT change my campaigns through an MCP server?

Only through a server with write tools, and only as far as your login allows. Meta's, TikTok's and Amazon's ads servers can create and change campaigns, while Google's Google Ads server and Microsoft Advertising's are read-only. In Claude you can set each connector's tools to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked, and ChatGPT asks for confirmation before write actions by default.

Are MCP servers for marketing free?

Connecting is usually free, but the data behind it often isn't. Ahrefs needs its Lite plan ($129 a month) or higher and counts API units per call, Semrush needs a plan with API units, Zapier uses 2 tasks per call, and DataForSEO charges per call. Google's Analytics and Ads servers, mcp-gsc and linkedin-ads-mcp are free and open source.

Which AI apps can use these MCP servers?

Remote servers work in Claude, where custom connectors are on every plan with one on Free, and in ChatGPT through a maker's published app or developer mode. They also work in coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. Local servers run on your own computer, so they work in desktop apps and coding tools only.

Is it safe to connect marketing accounts to an AI assistant?

It can be, with a few checks. Prefer official servers, start with read-only access, keep write tools on approval, sign in with OAuth rather than pasting keys, and connect only the accounts you need. Servers that read web pages, emails or support conversations can bring in instructions written by someone else, so review what the assistant wants to do before you approve a change.
