OneLence × MCP

OneLence MCP server

One remote server that brings your OneLence workspace into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other MCP client.

The OneLence MCP server is how AI apps read and act on a OneLence workspace. Point any MCP client at https://mcp.onelence.com, sign in to OneLence, and it can answer questions about your website journeys and conversions, ad platforms, search, AI visibility and affiliate partners with your own data.

The 15 MCP servers marketers recommend most, from HubSpot to Stripe, are compared in MCP servers for marketing.

Connection details

  • URL: https://mcp.onelence.com, over Streamable HTTP.
  • Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Clients discover it from the server's 401 response and register themselves, through dynamic client registration or a client ID metadata document, so there is no client ID or secret to configure.
  • Without a browser: a personal access token (olpat_…) from Settings → Developer, sent as Authorization: Bearer.
  • Access: the user picks one workspace and approves the permissions on the consent screen. Access tokens last one hour; refresh tokens last 60 days and are replaced each time they are used.

8 change something inside OneLence, and each first returns a summary and a confirmation id. Nothing is saved until the user agrees:

  • onelence_record_change, onelence_give_decision_feedback, onelence_update_business_context, onelence_save_campaign_context
  • onelence_save_event_definition, onelence_update_event_definition, onelence_delete_event_definition, onelence_register_site

onelence_get_ai_visibility, onelence_get_bot_traffic and onelence_list_seo_opportunities need the Premium or Scale plan. onelence_list_seo_opportunities also needs Google Search Console connected.

Interactive views

In apps that support MCP Apps, including Claude and ChatGPT, four tools render as interactive cards: the briefing, the list of recommendations, the recommendation for one source, and the performance overview. Each card is a self-contained page with no network access that only lays out what the tool returned. Other apps show the same result as text.

How the server behaves

  • Short answers by default, with the ids needed for the next call. response_format: "detailed" returns every field.
  • No billing actions from chat. Nothing is charged, changed or cancelled; subscriptions are managed in OneLence.
  • No secrets. Secret API keys are never returned.
  • Minimal logging. Tool calls are logged without their content, and tokens are stored only as hashes.
  • Instant revocation. Disconnecting an app in Settings → Developer takes effect immediately.

REST API and command line

For scripts and backends, the REST API at https://api.onelence.com/v1 covers the same data and is described at https://api.onelence.com/v1/openapi.json. The onelence command line (npx onelence) wraps it for terminals and CI.

Frequently asked questions

What is the OneLence MCP server URL?

https://mcp.onelence.com. It uses Streamable HTTP and OAuth sign-in, so most clients only need the URL.

Which AI apps can connect?

There are setup guides for Claude (web, desktop and mobile), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can connect, and clients without that support can use the OneLence command line as a local bridge.

Do I need an API key?

No. Clients sign in with OAuth and register themselves. For scripts and CI without a browser, use a personal access token from Settings, then Developer, as a Bearer token.

Is there a REST API as well?

Yes. The REST API at https://api.onelence.com/v1 covers the same data for scripts and backends, and its OpenAPI description is at https://api.onelence.com/v1/openapi.json.
