Understand Events in OneLence

Learn how OneLence records behavioural signals across user journeys.

What are Events

In OneLence, an event represents a measurable interaction or system action.

Events are the basic unit used for analysing behaviour and attribution paths.

Typical event examples include:

  • page views
  • navigation actions
  • button clicks
  • form submissions
  • checkout steps
  • subscription activations
  • feature usage inside an application

How Events are Triggered

Events can be:

  • captured automatically, such as page views
  • triggered manually, such as signup completion or purchase confirmation

What Can Events Do

Each event can include contextual information such as:

  • timestamp
  • page environment
  • referral or campaign parameters
  • optional custom properties

Not every event represents business progress.

Some events indicate passive activity, while others signal intent or commitment.

Understanding this distinction is important before defining conversion signals in the next section.
