Tracking architecture must balance insight quality with responsible data handling.
OneLence uses a consent-aware signal model in which:
- attribution parameters can be observed at runtime before consent
- persistent storage of identifiers and attribution context occurs only after consent is granted
- pseudonymous visitor identifiers are used to maintain journey continuity without relying on long-term personal identity
When a user becomes known (for example, after authentication or account creation), identity linking mechanisms allow historical anonymous activity to be associated with a confirmed user profile.
This layered identity model enables teams to:
- analyse anonymous acquisition behaviour
- attribute confirmed conversions accurately
- maintain privacy-conscious tracking practices
